Take the time to check your prices.

I keep reading all of the articles tell you how to make your own cleaning products,( which I do), and to use 20 Mule Team Borax, (which I do). The articles usually say that you can buy it @ Amazon.com.

You can, but you can also buy it at Target and Walmart for 1/2 the price and you don't have to pay shipping. If you are already being frugal then you are shopping at these stores anyway, so just pick up the box there. I checked and the ounces are the same so you are not getting it cheaper online.

I will warn you , though, once you start using it you won't be able to stop because the uses are endless.

Thanks and have a frugal day!

Salad dressing for .08 cents? How can that be?

Well, I'll tell ya. Walmart has Kraft salad dressing for $1.58 and in sundays paper there was a coupon for $1.50/1. That is a steal.

I am off to Savers soon to see what gems I can find today.I'll keep ya posted.

While I haven't been out trying to be thrifty, I just wanted to update  on the tip about using clean tennis balls in the dryer. They work great. My clothes have been fluffy and not at all clingy. This is one of the best, cheapest and greenest tips that I have found .

Today is monday and as soon as my little one gets on the bus, I will be off to Savers to search for a few more great bargains. Hopefully, I will have something great to report.

As always, Have a Frugal day!

My Friend Alison couldn't believe how much she saved the first time that she went to Aldi. www.aldi.com

I had been telling her about the store

and how much money she could save and when I spoke to her she couldn't wait to tell me that she tried it. She did mention that they do not carry alot of name brands but what they do have are great deals. They do carry some name brand items but as a whole the items in the store are their own names. I have to add that their canned goods are delicious and agreat price as well.

The next time that you need to go stock up on staples for your home, try Aldi first and I promise that you won't go back to your other big name grocery store.

Ciao for now

Just the other day I was out running errands and I found myself runniong out of time before my son Joshua 's bus was due to drop him off.  Well, I needed bread and my favorite store was too far away to make it there and home in time, so I decided to just run into Stop & Shop to grab 2 loaves of bread. I was taken aback when I got to the register and it cost me $6.79. That is the  reason why I try to stock up and not go to the big name supermarkets. You waould think that in this economy that they would try to work on making things more affordable.  If they don't change their ways they might just find themselves with less customers because the last time that I ran into Aldi, www.aldi.com , I had to wait in a long line because my newfound goldmine of savings has been found out by alot more people.

I vow not to let myself get stuck just having to run into a store for last minute things. I will either stock up or find a way to shop where it is more affordable. Hopefully, my loss is your gain. I might have lost almost $7.00 but you can gain the knowledge from my  mistake.
